ONLINE SEMINAR: Management of Sexual Health Concerns in Perimenopausal and Menopausal Patients
This 6 hour seminar is specifically designed for sex therapists interested in gaining a better understanding of the physiological changes and most common health issues affecting sexuality in cis-female patients in the second half of life. Review of the biopsychosocial challenges specific to peri and postmenopausal women will be the focus and the most common, up-to-date medical interventions and treatments explained. Goals of hormone replacement therapy will be included in the discussion. Additionally, other common health issues facing women in this age group and their impact on sexual identity, function and satisfaction will be discussed. Specific interventions for improved sexual engagement and pleasure will be offered with rationale provided.
Participants will be eligible for 5 AASECT CEUs for participating in the seminar in its entirety.
